Dr. Harald Weber
Dr Harald Weber is an experienced General Practitioner with an extensive background in surgery, emergency medicine and community-based healthcare. He spent 12 years working in Surgery and Emergency at Victoria Hospital before moving into general practice in Hout Bay in 1998. Dr Weber joined Hout Bay Family Medical Centre in 2000 and has since developed broad clinical interests that include psychiatry, geriatrics, dermatology, diabetes and other chronic conditions, as well as minor surgical procedures and aesthetic medicine. He is also registered with the South African Maritime Safety Authority as a medical practitioner and brings decades of practical experience to caring for individuals and families in the Hout Bay community.
In 1998, Dr Weber moved into general practice in Hout Bay, joining Hout Bay Family Medical Centre in 2000. Since then, he has provided comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare to individuals and families across the community. His broad clinical experience enables him to manage a wide variety of acute and ongoing medical concerns while offering continuity of care through the different stages of life.
Dr Weber has particular interests in psychiatry, geriatric medicine, dermatology and the management of chronic conditions such as diabetes. His work also includes interventional medicine, minor surgical procedures and aesthetic treatments. Drawing on his background in surgery and emergency care, he brings a practical, thorough and calm approach to diagnosis and treatment, ensuring that patients feel listened to, informed and supported.
He is also registered with the South African Maritime Safety Authority as an approved medical practitioner, complementing the broad scope of care he provides within his general practice.

Outside the practice, Dr Weber enjoys cycling, hiking and the occasional trail run. He is also interested in photography, gardening and do-it-yourself projects. An enthusiastic traveller with a sense of adventure, he enjoys escaping to the bush whenever possible and values the restorative balance that time outdoors brings to his busy and demanding medical career and everyday life.
