Monthly Newsletter: October

To All our Patients:
Welcome to October!

As we transition into this season of renewal and vitality, our practice is here to support you in every aspect of your health journey. We have a few exciting updates to share and look forward to helping you thrive this summer!  This month we are talking about- Sun Health, Mental Health, the return of one of our health practitioners and introducing you to a new member of our team.

First things first, we need to be serious about sun protection:

As summer approaches, it’s important to be mindful of potential sun damage to your skin. Remember to use appropriate protective gear, including hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen with broad-spectrum protection.  If you notice any unusual skin changes or suspicious lesions, please schedule an appointment with your GP. Our practice is equipped with liquid nitrogen for cryotherapy, and all our practitioners are trained to perform biopsies and minor surgical excisions if necessary. Cryotherapy is the use of extreme cold to freeze and remove abnormal tissue. It is used to remove warts, skin tags, and precancerous tissues.

More about liquid nitroMental Health Maintenance: October is Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to reflect on the importance of mental well-being.  Mental health is often overlooked in our fast-paced, demanding lives, yet it is a fundamental pillar of overall health. Conditions like:  anxiety, depression, and PTSD  are common and deserve to be addressed with care and understanding. Spending time in nature, exercising regularly, and maintaining a healthy diet are effective strategies to support mental health. If needed, don’t hesitate to seek expert guidance from health coaches or psychologists. Our practice has an open-door policy, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
